Victor Solomon has been installing and restoring floors across Ottawa since 2017, and the team has been with him from the start. That means the people who measure and quote your floor are the same people who install it, and the same people you can call if you ever need anything after. In Ontario, Floor Covering Installer is a voluntary trade – Skilled Trades Ontario code 448A – whose apprenticeship runs 6,000 hours (5,400 on the job plus 600 in school), yet no certificate is legally required to call yourself an installer – so it means something that our installers hold the 448A Certificate of Qualification, earned over that 6,000-hour apprenticeship.

How we work, and the protections behind it
Because anyone can legally call themselves a flooring installer here, our installers earned the 448A Certificate of Qualification – and we back it with the things that are checkable. Every job is quoted in writing with labour and material separated; under Ontario’s consumer-protection law you have a 10-day cooling-off period on an in-home renovation agreement, and we cannot bill more than 10 percent above the written estimate without your written approval. That is the standard the same insured crew holds itself to on every Ottawa floor, from the first quote to the final cleanup.
Our story
Solomon Flooring started when Victor Solomon relocated to Ottawa in 2017. Flooring was the trade he had already mastered back home, so it was the natural thing to do in his new city – and he has been installing and restoring floors across Ottawa ever since.

What began as one person is now a small, tight-knit crew who have been with Victor from the start. You get the same experienced hands on your floor from the first call to the final cleanup, and a team small enough to care about every job.
